Making fans and Teki for Tongan language week.

M
ālō e lelei

This week Rm 15 have been making  fans  and a Teki. Ill tell you what we did for it

This week I have been making a fan and a Teki.

I enjoyed when I had to colour the fan in the class I drew a girl👧 wearing a Tongan dress.

I learnt that the flag of Tonga is not just there favourit colours. the red represents the blood of Jesus Crist the plus represents Christinity.

I found curling the Teki hard because there was some of the bits that was not curled so they got in  the way of the one that I was  curling

My next learning step is to post another blog that is better than this one.

hope you enjoyed

  1. Mālō e leilei Irie. These fans look great and I like the way you explained your challenges. I didn't know that that's what the red represented! How is Tongan culture similar or different to your own culture?
