THE MOST FUN MUSEUM TRIP IN THE WORLD!

On the 4th of november kauri team went on a museum trip. 10mins before we left we had something to eat because it would be long until we had lunch. Since there were 3 parents plus two teachers we were all split into groups. I was in Angels group, on the way to the museum, I was talking and taking photos with my friends. When we got there we saw a lot of interesting statues, the first room we went into was the origins, and they had all the different animals that are extinct. While Mrs Mathews was telling us things about the old bones I was videoing what she was saying. The second room was the land area. There were so many trees and there was a cave we went, and there were noises and some metreals in the cave. The third room was about pacific lifeways.  When I walked in I saw a carved man and there was a map and all of the islands were on it. The first area I went in was the cook island things because that is my favourite island. The fourth room was the volcanoes.  In the volcano room  there were three rocks. They said pick me up to see how heavy I am. So I picked up all three, the middle one was the heaviest. I took a photo as well, there were also two rocks you could make music when you banged it. There was also this little room that We went into for 12 mins. It's all about if a volcano erupts in our harbour. It tells us to always be prepared because you never know when it will be able to erupt. The room was also shaking so much the first shake I got a fright. The fifth room was the moari court where there was a hugeeee waka. I was so happy to be there again. There is a marae in the maori court and there are carvings all around. So when I was in there I hongied one and August saw we were laughing so much.

The room we went in for shamili.

Since Shamili loves Egypt we went into the egyption room and there were so many little mummies:-) :) :-) :)

When it was lunch time   may road school went outside and ate our lunch then we went on the field that is in the front we played tag we played catch and other fun games.

  2. Well done Irie. Sounds like you had an awesome day. I also like the volcano exhibits and the shaking house in the Earthquake area... but I don't think I would like it if it was my own house. Regards Mr Davis. (Principal: Wesley Intermediate School).
